Assassin's Creed Unveils Unexpected Attack on Titan Crossover for Thanksgiving

In a bizarre partnership that defies usual forecasts, Ubisoft has unveiled an in-game partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, providing complimentary bonus story content for Shadows players.

Strange Adventure Uncovered

According to the authorized announcement, "A strange meeting draws characters Naoe and Yasuke into a new mission, where hints of banned ceremonies and fearsome transformations resonate through the obscurity." The narrative introduces a "unusually dressed woman named Ada" who assigns the duo with journeying into the Crystal Cave—a key location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her ally from a secret cult.

The adventure focuses on "peculiar trials and a terrifying adversary" and is open to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.

Recognizable Settings and Changes

The teaser highlights the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This important location was earlier where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The trailer concludes with a powerful sequence showing a character, presumably the captive, changing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Rewards and Bonus Material

Players who finish the mission will obtain an unique katana in addition to several items concealed throughout the area in secret chests. The update also features in-store Attack on Titan item packs, including:

Newest Free Story Update

This update also introduces the game's third complimentary story episode, titled "The Mystery." This humorous quest teams Naoe and Yasuke as they trade distinctive skills: Naoe introduces a theatrical version of Yasuke's war kick, while Yasuke learns non-lethal stealth takedowns. Faithful to its name, "A Puzzlement" also contains a original environmental puzzle that may ultimately explain some unresolved questions from the main storyline.
